Hey everyone! Duochrome seems to be the new trend right now, and recently I’ve been on a highlighter kick and have been buying them like craaazy! I noticed that BH Cosmetics has released two Highlighter palettes, and one happened to be duochrome based (hello MOONCHILD dupe?!) So I had to buy it to try out for you guys!
The Backlight Highlighter Palette retails for $16.99usd and contains 1.23oz of product in total (.2oz per highlight).
Embrace the ethereal allure of our Blacklight Highlight 6 Color Palette, an assortment of iridescent shimmer powders that produce enchanting effects. The pearlized pastels conjure up daring, dreamy looks when applied above cheekbones, above and beneath brows, on inner eye corners, Cupid’s bow, bridge of nose, shoulders, collarbone & anywhere you’d normally highlight. Apply colors individually or layer and blend to create a pigment of your imagination!
This palette is sleek with a magnetic opening, and contains a large mirror which is a huge plus. The six pans that hold each shade are huge which means you can pack on that glow and won’t run out fast.
Electra — a yellow toned champagne
Laser — a green toned champagne duochrome
Kween — a cool toned blue duochrome
Illusion — a cool toned pink/purple duochrome
On Point — a dark pink duochrome
Personally I find this Highlighter formula to be AMAZING! Each iridescent shade feels buttery soft, has great pigmentation, and leaves a beautiful pearlized effect on your skin.
Strobe does kick up a bit of powder from the pan, so keep that in mind if that’s an issue you can’t look over.
The rest don’t kick up any product when putting a brush into the powder, and apply without any fallout.
These wear extremely well! I was out from 5pm until 12:30am and they didn’t fade one bit! In the previous videos I used every shade to create a very bold, out of this world Highlighter (I gotta admit, I kind of felt like the tin man, buuut I rocked it 😉🤣)
These highlighters aren’t for those who prefer the natural glow from within — these are more so for the daring who enjoy a glow to the heavens look, and while they can be sheered out, they look better work to their full opacity.

On my most recent Sephora visit I decided to pick up one of the new-ish Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Oil Glosses in Papa Don’t Peach.
This gloss retails for $19usd / $24cdn and contains 0.14oz of product.
“Pucker up with our silky, smooth, peach oil infused lip gloss that smells and tastes like fresh picked peaches.”
The packaging itself is very sleek and I personally find it very visually pleasing. The individual glosses themselves are colour matched to the lid making it easy to figure out what shade you’re using, as well as the clear plastic tubing showing off the product itself.
This gloss as a very obvious peach smell to it, reminiscent of peach candy. It is a rather strong scent so if you’re very sentisive these glosses may not be for you. The peach smell lasts for about an hour once applied on the lips, then slowly dissipates over time. By about the two hour mark there is no scent left over.
The formula of these glosses is very true to name. These glosses are Oil based, so they are very hydrating and aren’t sticky at all. They remind me of the Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lips in the sense that they don’t stick when you press your lips together and they’re very long wearing, but I have to say this Too Faced gloss is more hydrating to my lips overall.
“Includes: Lip-loving PEACH OIL, COCONUT OIL and VITAMIN E to soften and moisturize lips.”
The gloss itself isn’t overly pigmented or overly sheer, it’s a perfect medium coverage, and the shade itself is a gorgeous brown toned peachy nude.
For glosses I’m normally not one to care about longevity because I don’t mind reapplying, but surprising these glosses last a long time. For me, without drinking or eating this particular shade will last up to four hours on me before needing touch up. If I press my lips together a lot or eat and drink I’ll need to touch up sooner, by about the 2-3 hour mark. Again, I’m not overly bothered by this.
I think if you can pick up one or two glosses from this range, you should do it. They aren’t cheap, but in my opinion the formula is worth the price point. Would I pick up them all? Personally I wouldn’t simply because I don’t like all of the shades, I would however pick up the darker shades and I do hope they further this line in the future to feature more shade selection.

Juvia’s Place has released the Saharan Palette which retails for $28usd. You can use a discount code and get roughly 10% off which brings the total down to around $25usd.
Now for some background on the palette itself; The inspiration for this palette comes from African culture, as does all of the other palettes in the line. This palette was specifically inspired by the Wodaabe festivities of the Fulani culture.
This palette contains the same amount of product as the original Nubian palette (18g/ .63oz) with the Saharan palette being slightly larger with the pans more spread out. (Personally I love the way the shadows are laid out within the palette.)
Every shade in this palette is extremely pigmented, including the black matte shade called Chad which swatched terribly but in application applied beautifully.
Personally I didn’t find the mattes to be chalky or have incredible amounts of fallout, same goes for the metallics and Satin shades, all of which performed perfectly when applied to the eye and lid area.
My personal favorite shades from this palette are Wodaabe, Bororo and Fula. (Of course these are all metallic shades) These shades for me are the ones I can see myself gravitating towards.
This is the makeup look I did using the Saharan palette. The shades I used were Fula, Sokoto, Jamila, Katsina, Iman, Bororo and Zoya. These shadows applied extremely pigmented and had little to no fallout. They blended effortlessly together without becoming muddy, and as you can see all of these shades worked beautifully together to create this pink/burgundy toned eye look.
All in all I would recommend this palette if you enjoy these types of shades. The formula is one of the best on the market, with all shades being very buttery and highly pigmented.

Hey everyone! Today I decided to tell you my favorite lipstick shades from each brand I own. Trust me when I say it was not an easy task, but I did it!
* Bite Beauty ~ Pepper
* Jeffree Star Cosmetics ~ Celebrity Skin
* Kat Von D ~ Magick
* Buxom Cosmetics ~ Rosè
* Urban Decay ~ Backtalk
* Bite Beauty ~ Mauvember (LE)
The reason I chose these as my favorite tube lipsticks of all time, is because each has an amazing formula, and colour pay off! I typically don’t wear lipstick on the daily, but when I grab for a tube lipstick these are the ones I gravitate towards.
Today my friend Marie passed on her Mini of Kylie Cosmetics Love Bite Liquid Lipstick and I thought I’d do a review for you guys!
First off, the colour is amazing! It’s this dark, purple, brown shade and honestly is a super sexy, sultry shade in my books. It doesn’t apply patchy, and for a dark shade like this I was surprised at how easy I was able to line my lips with the applicator.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the formula. It dries very quick, and you only need a layer for it to be fully opaque. I’m normally not one for Matte liquid lipsticks, but I may be hooked!
